Hotty Toddy Rebels!!

We had our first home ballgame today. The kids had a blast in the Grove. We started our weekend off with Vaiden having his first sleepover. He was so excited to have Connor and Morgan Chiosolm come stay (Mr. Richard and Mrs. Bridgett, too:). After playing outside and riding bikes this morning, we headed out for a day in the HOT Grove. It was okay that it was hot because just being out there in the Grove is so awesome. Vaiden played so hard with all of the other kids and Whitten stood up next to the stroller and watched the people walk by. Our tent is in a great spot and Michael's parents help make it great for everyone. The kids had a blast and I look forward to them growing up having a tent in the Grove. And to make the whole day even better~the Rebels won!! The children (LtoR)Hammond Austin, Molly and Joe Reed Tompkins, Morgan Chisolm, Vaiden and Whitten, and Connor Chisolm.

What happened to the baby phase...

Whitten learned to sit up and then moved right into crawling. Crawling wasn't enough because he is now pulling up on EVERYTHING!! Michael and I went out and bought him a new toy. He loves to pull up and play on it. He can take steps all the way around the table. The funny thing is that when he is tired of standing, he doesn't know how to get down. He just lets go!! Needless to say, many bumps and bruises are yet to come. I just can't imagine this little fellow with those little thunder thighs are gonna be walking soon...

Oh, so good...

I nursed both of my boys for several months. When it was time to change to formula, both of my boys refused to drink it. After many different brands and tricks, they both finally learned to like it. When Whitten takes his bottle, he rubs his eyes~my thought is that it is a sign of him really, really enjoying the milk. Well, and Vaiden did the same thing. It really is the sweetest thing to see. I am posting pictures of both~Vaiden (on the green pillow) and Whitten (both at 6 months)

Meeting our teachers...

Vaiden started 3K this morning. We started the tradition of taking his picture with a sign (thanks Renee for the great idea!!) Vaiden and I went to meet his new teachers and he has two great teachers that I have heard so many good things about!! He got to spend some time in his classroom meeting his new friends and teachers while I attended a parents meeting. Vaiden is so excited about the upcoming year. He got his calendar, school bag, and field trip t-shirt!! His teachers said that Vaiden was such a sweet boy and cleaned up all of his toys without them asking!! If I could just get Michael to clean up after himself, I would have a clean house!!

Someones in the kitchen...

Vaiden loves to get in the kitchen with me to cook. I really try to let him do alot to help me because he is so interested. His favorite things to cook are mashed potatoes and brownies. After making brownies the other day, he asked me what we were gonna do with all of that left in the bowl. I was hoping I would have the bowl to lick all by myself, but I guess if he helps, he should get rewarded too. Anyway, we both licked the bowl and made a mess!!

Waiting for Daddy...

My boys love their Daddy!! We sit outside on the front porch every day and wait for him to pull up. When he does, Vaiden runs and jumps into his arms and squeezes his neck and gives him all kinds of kisses!! Whitten smiles and jumps up and down. He knows that his Daddy is home from work. I just love this picture of them waiting. We love you Daddy and we ALL thank you for working so hard and letting Mommy stay home!!

My sweet baby...

Whitten is 6 months old and the time has truly flown by. He is crawling all over the place these days and I thought I would take these pictures while he will still sit somewhat still.

Meeting the Rebels...

We went over to the Ole Miss Practice Facility yesterday to meet the Rebels. They had a great turn out and we are all hoping for a great year!! Vaiden really enjoyed himself. We were there for 2 hours and we managed to get the autographs of the defensive only. Afterwards, we went to the scrimmage game and it really put us in the mood for a great football season!!

While we were gone...

As you read from my last post, Michael and I took a much needed vacation. Well, while we were gone, my mom called me and told me that Whitten was crawling!! Yep, 6 months old and crawling!! My life has officially changed!! He is getting around so well and his poor little knees stay red from crawling on the hardwood floors. Here are some pictures of him crawling!! Oh and by the way, he is now pulling up. I just hope that he doesn't start walking until his legs get a little bigger!! (notice those little things in the picture)

Trip with no kids...

Michael and I have had quite a year. We started the year off with Michael getting a new job. He lived with his parents and commuted to work so that I could stay in Flowood with the boys until our new house got finished. In February, Whitten decided to come unannouced and Michael had to drive 3 hours going 96mph down the interstate to get to us at the hospital. Even the highway patrol didn't slow him down~he made the birth!! We finally were united in the new house in May and we have been crazy trying to get settled in. With two children, a new house, and a new job, Michael and I just haven't had much time to ourselves. We decided to take a trip to St. Thomas, USVI, and stay in my aunt Dawn's condo. (Thanks GAD!!) We also invited some friends to go along with us Jason and Candice Parish and Richard and Bridget Chisolm. We all have 2 children a piece, so being able to relax and enjoy the beach and have adult conversation was awesome!!
