In case you didn't know...

Michael and I are expecting our 3rd child in August!! We are so excited about our newest addition to our family!! We don't know what we are having...it will be a huge surprise in August!!

Mother's Day 2010

My parents came up for the Mother's Day weekend. We had a great weekend with cool weather, OM baseball, and sweet family time. Happy Late Mother's Day to all you moms out there!!

Small Town and Simple Pleasures

I grew up in a small town and then went off to college. After college, Michael and I got married and moved to Flowood. To Mississippians, Flowood is a busy city. We loved living there and all of the great things it had to offer us as a new family. Michael got a job offer 2 years ago and we packed up our life and moved to Oxford. We love living here and it has really made me realize that I miss that "small" town atmosphere that I grew up around. On a regular basis, I take Whitten for a stroll around the square. Its fun to go to the children's bookstore, stop in a the candy store to get a treat, and we always stop at the church playgrounds to play. There is so much here that makes us all appreciate the small joys of life and I am just so happy living in this small town and sharing those "simple" joys with my children!!

We started our Double Decker Day with Vaiden running in the Kid's Fun Run again this year. The race is a mile long and he did such an amazing job!! He never stopped running and once he got close to the finish line, I heard his determined huffing and puffing to finish the race strong. I had a crying Momma moment!! He made me realize just how proud I am of him...he is such an awesome kid!! After the race, we had a great day riding the DD bus, shopping, and playing in the kid's section. The weather was beautiful, so it made for such a fun all day event!!
